Welcome to House of Wellness, I am so glad you’re here.

My name is Dr. Shivangi Maniar. Here at House of Wellness, I practice psychiatry from a holistic perspective - which means I address the emotional and physical health of your brain and body.

Sometimes the journey to wellness can be challenging but I am here to support you every step of the way. No matter what your concerns are, we will work together to create a personalized treatment plan that will integrate evidence-based science, medications, various forms of therapy, take-home tools, and life-style modifications (nutrition, exercise supplements) tailored to your needs.

Dr. Maniar was born and raised in San Diego, California. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UC San Diego, followed by her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pennsylvania. Dr. Maniar completed her residency at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV in Nevada. She is a Board Certified Psychiatrist.

During her four-year residency, Dr. Maniar had the privilege of treating patients with a wide range of mental health disorders across all ages and diverse cultural backgrounds. Her experience includes working with children, teens, adults, and in specialized areas such as women’s mental health (including peripartum depression and anxiety), substance abuse, life transitions, adoption and foster care, veterans, and minority communities. Dr. Maniar is particularly dedicated to providing trauma-informed care.

Dr. Maniar has also been trained in various therapeutic techniques and theories, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Attachment Theory, and Energy Psychology. She practices using a combination of these approaches to best fit each person’s needs. She is currently undergoing training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.

With all of her education and experience, Dr. Maniar is committed to providing evidence-based, holistic, and most importantly, personalized care for each individual.
